The Valley is at work helping families in Southwest Louisville to have an enjoyable Thanksgiving Day meal. Here are some of the more than 30 baskets of food contributed by our members. The food will be given to families through our affiliation with Southwest Community Ministries. Thanks to Boy Scout Troop 377 who brought in additional food through the Scouting for Food program!
At The Valley we like to prepare ourselves for big events each year. Here's a happy family taking part in our Pre-Holiday Family dinner. The meal prepared by the "girls of the Sherard family" was an evening of great home-cooked food mixed with plenty of friends and good times.
On November 6th with honored our Diamond Disciples, members of The Valley who are 75 years young and above. It was a great day of worship to recognize their years of service to the Kingdom of God. And thanks to all the volunteers who cooked and served a wonderful meal for our Diamonds!
Here are a couple of the folks who helped The Valley welcome about 900 children and their parents to Trunk or Treat. It was a great night that included plenty of candy, hay rides and fun. It was a fun and safe way for children in the community to celebrate Halloween.
A group of hearty walkers prepares to head into several Valley Station and PRP neighborhoods to let families know about Trunk or Treat at The Valley set for October 29th. On a Friday evening in October eight folks from The Valley provided a time of worship for Luther Luckett Christian Church located inside the walls of the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex at LaGrange, Ky. It was a moving experience for all involved. The picture is of the LLCC Chapel where worship is held each Friday evening with Pastor Dean Bucalos.
The Valley's booth at the Southwest Community Festival stocked and ready to go. Our volunteers handed out nearly 500 bottles of water to thirsty festival-goers on a warm day. It's great to be part of such a wonderful event.
