A Note From the Campus Pastor...

Welcome to The Valley.

We have a long history of serving this community and now as a part of the Kingdom Now! Ministry of Middletown Christian Church (www.middletownchristian.org) we have a renewed purpose of service to this community. If you're looking for a church that offers a Sunday morning experience that brings you into a deeper relationship with God, then The Valley is your kind of place.  If you're looking for a church that values people outside its walls as much as it values community within the church, The Valley is your kind of place.  If you're looking for a church that wants to make a difference in the lives of people who are struggling in our community, The Valley is your kind of place.

The Valley is a church that seeks to live out the teachings of Jesus in our everyday lives.  We exist to help people become disciples of Jesus Christ who can be sent back into the world as ambassadors for Christ. Instead of enlisting people to serve the religious institution, the institution is here to serve people – by challenging and encouraging and equipping them to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

The bottom line is that we do not just want to add members to the church. The vision God has for us is much bigger. We want to be a place where people experience the power of God and have their lives transformed by that power. We want to be a place where people discover God’s plan for their life and use those gifts in a way that fulfils them. The church exists for the benefit of world, and not the other way around! Jesus is our Lord and serving him is our passion!

Who We Are

What we are, and have always been, is a congregation of the Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ),– a denomination forged on the frontier in America’s infancy; a denomination in which the beliefs we share are more important than the things that divide us. While we do not adhere to a creedal statement we do hold certain beliefs in common.

We Believe...

  • God is the Creator of all life and every human being is created in God's image.
  • Jesus Christ is savior of the world, the son of the living God, and that a personal relationship with Jesus transforms lives.
  • The Holy Spirit is availavble to all people and responsible for the inspiration and energy to accomplish all things within the church.
  • God continues to speak to us through the Bible, and we are devoted to the study of the scriptures for discerning God's will for our lives.
  • Becoming a fully-devoted follower of Jesus is a goal every Christian should strive for, and that it is a life-long process.
  • In freedom and diversity in Christian thought and interpretation, guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit, study, and prayer.
